Diagnostics
Over recent years vehicles have become ever more complex as owners have demanded more driving aids such as SAT-NAV, audio/visual equipment and air conditioning and safety devices such as ABS and air bags. The government and the European Union have also legislated to force vehicle manufacturers to reduce harmful engine emissions, a move which has made vehicles far more electronically advanced.
Although reliability has improved dramatically, when faults occur to electronic systems a more systematic approach to diagnosing ard repairing these systems is required.
Using the latest advanced diagnostic equipment Salisbury Garage provide an in-house diagnostic service covering the following areas:
- ABS
- Air Bag & SRS
- Auto Electrical
- Emissions
- Engine Management
- Fuel Injection
- Electronic Ignition
It’s important when maintaining different makes and models that the equipment available will work across a wide range of vehicles.
We have invested heavily in the latest diagnostic equipment which is compatible with the vast majority of makes of vehicle and electronic systems whether fitted as standard equipment or retro fitted afterwards.
Our SMART diagnostic unit for example will allow us to:
- Access diagnostic trouble codes stored in the control module’s memory.
- Display simultaneous electronic waveforms on its dual channel oscilloscope.
- Analyse voltage, current, frequency, pressure and temperature readings in real time.
Backed up with the lastest technical data resources and continual retraining, Salisbury Garage aims to stay ahead of emerging technology so it is always well placed to deal with modern vehicle demands.
