Dave was born and bred in Hull and has lived in the city all his life. Dave lives with his wife and two young children and spends his spare time (not that he has much with young children and a busy workshop to manage) watching Hull City who he has supported from being a child. Dave enrolled with the North Humberside Motor Trades Group Training Association after leaving school and worked at AB Motors who was the Fiat dealership in west Hull. What AB Motors closed Dave transferred to Jordans and continued working on Fiat, Lancia and Alfa Romeo cars. A change is as good as a rest and Dave decided he needed a new challenge so moved to Whitespot Motors who were the Yugo and Lada dealership. Dave was offered a position at Cottingham Ford and worked his way up to Senior Mechanic before deciding he had gained enough experience to set up on his own. Dave has gained many qualifications and has attended many courses throughout the years.

Dave is a fully qualified and certified automotive air conditioning and climate control engineer having recently gained the I.M.I. Level 3 Diploma in Air Conditioning and Climate Control.
